The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO),  will hold its Fourth Symposium on ICAO MRTDs, Biometrics and Security Standards on 6?8 October 2008 at the ICAO Headquarters in Montreal.

The 2008 Symposium follows last year’s successful event, attended by over 450 participants from States, international organizations, companies and institutions.

ICAO is seeking the participation of officials of passport and official ID document issuing agencies, immigration, customs, and other border control and security authorities. Officials from airlines and airports involved in passenger service systems, handling of travel documents, facilitation and aviation security should also participate.
