Call for applications for the 2008 EBF European Biometric Research Award. The EBF Research Award is made annually to an individual who has been judged by a panel of internationally respected experts to be making a significant contribution to the field of biometrics research in Europe as evidenced by the submission of a research paper and delivery of a presentation. Biometric Encryption, among the many technological developments in the biometric area, may have the most significant impact on the large scale use of biometrics. Biometric Encryption technology appears to enable the matching of individuals' unique keys within a large scale information system without exposing their original biometric samples. This technology could make biometrics revocable and privacy enhancing. During this EBF seminar a variety of stakeholders will meet to exchange information and experiences.
